I'm assuming this is the Rockridge location and not Lafayette...??? Scary, I'm in there all the time and I bought my mountain bike from those guys.

That's ridiculous, I was thinking the same thing as Tapeworm, unless you're going to try and lift some high end bikes, why on earth would you think that robbing a bike shope would be lucrative?

Aren't they the guys on Saturday Night Live who wanted to "pump (fist-into-palm clap) you up"?
Seriously, this sucks. It sucks any time it happens to any business or person, and I hope the gendarmes catch the punk(s) who did it. It is also surprising to me on two fronts - the aforementioned "who robs a bike shop?" line, and the fact that it was in Lafayette. Hell, I lived next door in Moraga for years, and Lafayette is not exactly a crime0riddem community. But it can happen anywhere, I guess, althought it happens other places more often.

that is just awful, I have been going to the lafayette location since I was a kid. In fact I got hit by a car about 100 yards from there when I was riding my bike through town once when I was 12.
