Great Lakes - Sweet Corn Challenge

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Anyone doing this ride? http://www.SweetCornRide.com/ I may come home to Ohio for the weekend and do the century. First century I ever did, and the only organized ride I've ever signed up for, was the Circle Akron Ride back in about 1976 that covered some of the same area. I'm guessing that the century is mostly the same as the Death Ride listed by the Cleveland Touring Club? http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/82611
I do it every year, it's a well organized ride.
I've never done the century, I do the 50 mile. They used to have
a 62 mile option.

We might go, but if we do, we'll be on the 10 mile escorted family ride. Daughter has gone 12 miles with me for her longest ride, but my wife has only ridden twice since she got her new bike; about 3-4 miles each, and none before that for about 20 years. So they'd be much better off with a short, slow ride.
I was looking forward to the ride, but forecast calls for 70% chance of rain Saturday and 50% Sunday. Too high to justify trip to Ohio at this time. I got in a nice little ride today though. 100 miles, and 7800 ft. climbing here in NJ. I'll just do the Death Ride route next time I'm in town.
I will be there, running a single chasing a tandem.
