I'd post this in the Road Bike section, but think I'd get blown up. Someone has offered me an SDG Bel-Air RL ffor next to nothing, and I am wondering if I can use this on a straight road bike. Good idea, or no?

Worth a try. Worst case, it'll be uncomfortable. Best case, it'll be fine. ;)

Next to nothing sounds like a good price to experiment at.

It's a long story why, but I'm using a ridiculously light road saddle on my mountain bike. I can't imagine that going the other way would be a big deal. lol The saddle will either fit your butt or it won't.

A few years ago Price Point had the Bel Air for $5 apiece. I've run on on my Pinarello and Mongoose ever since. I wish I would've bought four instead of only two.

Right on, thanks all. I'll give it a try, and see what happens and let you all know what I think.
