hey all. i'm a 21y.o. student from oberlin, ohio, pretty involved with the bike co-op here and working hard to make women and cycling into two things that go together.

i learned to like bikes from my younger brother, a mechanic at a shop in my hometown of salt lake city (wasatch touring-- a great place if you're in the area). a few summers ago he helped me build a fixed gear conversion out of a janky bridgestone frame from our local bike collective (at the time i was convinced my new ride was the nicest thing around... as years pass, it gets ****tier and ****tier, but i love it more and more). since the i've spent too many hours breaking tools and learning how things work by destroying them... i spent some time working retail at a shop in SLC, and now i'm back in ohio.

yesterday i somehow bought a beautiful cramerotti with campy chorus for almost nothing, and my fixation on the new wheelz has got me thinking about nothing but bikes again. i've been lurking on bikeforums for a while, but i figured it was time to introduce myself. i've been depending on the opinions of bikeforums users to help me pick out all kinds of parts, so i'm a bit in debt. figured it was time to actually join the community.

so: hi!
