Hi all, I am participating in an MS ride in two months and have decided to sell off some of my bike equipment for the charity. As such, any interested buyers will pay through the charity website with the intention of pledging me during the ride. My reasons for doing so are simple: I want to help those stricken with MS by selling off some bike things. If you do a search on "Assosman" you will see that I have sold many things on this forum free of any problems. References can be provided.

I encourage anyone interested to visit the above link. I'll be riding with Team UWMC (University of Washington Medical Center) as "Phelan Trinh" (my real name) for around 150 miles during that weekend.
Any interested buyer must PM me so I can expect a pledge from you before I ship the equipment out. We'll negotiate shipping charges and settle on a concrete amount before you pledge me. Because you will be "paying" the charity directly you get the benefit of any tax deduction that goes along with the total amount. Once I receive confirmation of the pledge from the charity and the buyer, I'll happily ship the equipment out. So from my side of things, I'll be giving these things out for free.
The only complication is shipping. I'm already giving things away, so I feel like I shouldn't pay for shipping. Once a buyer pledges me, they will also have to pay me directly for shipping. If that sounds too complicated, here is a example case study:
Person A wants to buy a wheel @ $150.
Person A contacts me with his/her address.
I calculate shipping (say $20) and inform Person A.
Person A goes to http://bikewas.nationalmssociety.org and follows the links to pledge me (Phelan Trinh under Team UWMC) for $150.
Person A pays me (through paypal/check/whatever) $20 for shipping.
I thank Person A and ship the wheels out.
Person A is really happy that he/she has supported a charity and gets a wheel for it.
I will be happy to explain things in greater detail if need be.
