Hello from the Little Apple- Manhattan, Kansas!
I joined the forum a couple of weeks ago and have been hooked ever since. What a wealth of knowledge, fun, and sarcasm!! I have ridden mountain bikes for years, but just recently bought my very first road bike- a Specialized Allez Elite compact double. What a difference!
I have been active duty Army helicopter pilot for almost 19 years, and the army is a running culture. The last couple of years have been hard on my knees and hips; and my wife and I decided to try riding for fitness instead of running. It's been a blast, and we are having a great time! We are now planning our first bike tour to Germany and beyond, which means we will need to add another couple of bikes to our growing stable. Should be fun...
