Doesn't seem like shes going to get any bigger! :) and we love her that way! The bumps on her hind quarters are from allergies, she seems to be allergic to insect stings/bites! Yes, she has medication for it. :thumb:

Bet she loves belly rubs. She looks like the type of dog that does. ;)

Actually she's kinda partial to back scratches, I try rubbing her belly but she hates being on her back, guess it has something to do with the missing front leg?

OMG I didn't notice one of her legs was missing, I was wondering why her name is "Trio." Doh.

It may be a dominance thing.

It likely has nothing to do with missing a leg. As Luddite mentioned, it's likely a dominance thing. Our dog Turbo also loves his back scratches and also doesn't like being on his back.

She's awfully cute sleeping, but now we need a photo of her being awake!

I aint no expert, despite having had two dogs since I was 10 years old, but I find it concerning that Trio does not allow you to give her a belly rub, I suspect she thinks she's higher status than you are, which is very problematic. It is imperative that you are respected as Alpha. Do you allow her on the couch/bed/human furniture? This is a clear sign to her she is of at least equal status to the Humans. Also, does she display any food aggression, ie: when you try to take something away from her or does she growl if she's eating at her bowl and you approach?

I wonder if you inadvertantly*sp* overindulge her due to her loss of a leg, ie: shower her with constant affection etc.

I watch the Dog Whisperer and I think I remember one where a dog was disabled or something, and the Humans let the dog on the furniture etc so the dog turned "mean" on them later.

Nah, it's not that she doesn't allow me, she just doesn't like it, and she does sleep on the sofa but jumps right off (tail between her legs) when told, she used to growl when fed but that was when she was a pup, I started training her ASAP, she no longer growls at me when I feed her, she just licks my hand and wags her tail as I take the food from her mouth. :thumb: and she is treated like any other dog, I also have two other dogs (golden lab/pitbull and a ****z/poodle) that are fully aware that I am the alpha dog. :)
