Hi all,

Does anyone have any recommendations for a cyclocross bike with a standover lower than 740/29cm? I'm 5'4 with short legs. The best one I've found are Jakes with 741/29.2 standover. This is pretty much right at my crotch.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Perhaps a bike with a compact frame (sloping top tube).

Of all the crossers I've seen the Cotic Roadrat has the most dramatically sloping top tube. Take a look at

http://cotic.co.uk/product/roadrat

and then mail them about stand-over height on the small size. If you really need to bring it down, then the Rat will run 26 as well 700c if you're using disc brakes - which unfortunately would disqualify you from some races, I believe.

49cm fuji cross bikes are worth a look.

Redline Conquest 44cm has a 736mm standover. Effective/horizontal top tube (the more important measurement) is 510mm.
