2008 Specialized Langster ( Seattle version )
I got it for free so I'm not complaining
switched the rear wheel to be a fixie
16 tooth pinion gear
42 tooth crank gear
tighten up the chain slack
removed the mud guards/fenders
removed the wheel reflectors
removed the rear light led
removed the bike pump mount
removed the pedal reflectors
removed the pedal cages
removed the bottle cage
Next I want to remove a few stickers and one of the brakes
Which brake would be more of a fixie thing to do only a front brake or only a rear brake?

Your seat's likely too low but everything else looks good.
You'll want a front brake.

And put the pedal cages (clips) back on. When you are fixed, you don't want to lose the pedals, they keep spinning and turn into battle maces that will destroy your calves!
Brakes are fine, but if you must have just one, keep the front!

Great bike for free, and probably the only Langster "theme" bike I'm okay with. I agree with putting the clips or else some sort of foot retention back on.
PS: If those fenders are wasting space in your house and would like to give them to me for the cost of shipping, PM me :).

Sorry, the stickers are under the clearcoat. But I see you succeeded using black electrical tape :twitchy:

I'll take them for $13+ shipping. Ugh, if only there was some website where we could all compete in a bidding war to win those fenders.

Those fenders were the coolest thing about that bike.

They're the only reason I like that Langster.

yeah theyre nice, i was just joking b/c everyon is hassling this guy about buying them lol.
My friend got some custom made for his bike by a guy in PDX. He said they cost $60, but they are EXACTLY like that, only more narrow.

The frame is an extra large the size for someone around 6'1, im about 5'11 so once im comfortable riding a fixie I'll raise it up a smidge.
And put the pedal cages (clips) back on. When you are fixed, you don't want to lose the pedals, they keep spinning and turn into battle maces that will destroy your calves!

Very true On my mtn bike I have flat pedals with little nubs and when you slip a pedal then spin around and come at your shins with brutal force.

Im considering putting on the cages back on.

sorry about that.
the first 3 pictures were right when I got the bike and started changing things on it.
in the last 3 I was up at lake tahoe in northern california, I took the pictures before I put the bike back on the bike rack.
They're the only reason I like that Langster.
then dont buy it.

oh, and if you want speed, get some new bars, bulhorns are good, but you will need new levers yours won't fit on road bars. 24mm brake clamp vs 22mm for mountain bike brake clamps (it looks like they used mtn bike brakes on your bike).
Or you could get a nice flat bar that will work with your current levers. The carbon Easton EC70 CNT flat bar is nice,

oh! what is that? I happen to have a brand new one for sale, for just $50.

If you guy's really think the fenders are cool why not go to http://www.woodysfenders.com/store/ and get the real deal instead of fake wood.
The fenders would have been to only thing I would have changed on that bike.
