How do you work on (clamp) a Carbon Frame in Workstand? I used to clamp to the seatpost but my new seatpost is carbon along with the frame? Where to clamp?
I clamp to the seat tube on my wife's carbon Specialized Roubaix.

Get a cheap steel seatpost and replace yours when you need to work on the bike.

You can clamp a carbon seatPOST. The post is strong enough to withstand the clamping pressure, which shouldn't be very much anyway. Minor work can be done just by hanging it buy the seat.
Seatpost only!!! Anything else is a gamble... typically I don't even like to clamp on carbon posts, but I would NEVER clamp to a carbon frame, same way I wouldn't ever clamp to a Cannondale, Klein or any aluminum road frame. Screw up and its 3,000$... I have a few old seatposts I keep just for that reason, so I always have something thick and metal to clamp to.

This one's easy. The same way that I clamp a steel or any other frame - by the seatpost. That way I don't have to worry about scratching the paint much less denting the frame or doing something to a carbon seatpost. Buy a Kalloy seatpost that's the right size for your frame. They're cheap and they come in every conceivable size. It'll be money well spent. Park actually makes a tool that fits a wide variety of frame tube sizes, but it costs quite a bit more than a Kalloy post so if you only have a couple of sizes to mess with what's the point?

I keep my bike stored in the workstand, so replacing the seatpost is not happening. The post is carbon too, i guess i will use the seatpost.

You could just hang it by the saddle on the repairstand instead of contantly clamping and unclamping the post.

For storage, you could open the jaws of the repair stand up as far as they go and just set the top tube in it, without closing them/clamping.
