it seems to me that every bike shop you walk into has the same 20 something knowitall positioned to answer each of your questions with an eye roll and look of discust...(unless you are there to buy a new bike). And I am like...I have bikes older than you so knock it off and get me a tube.
I don't think I'm the only one...
The Bike Shop in Pleasant Valley New York. I bought a new bike there in 1976, and in 1990, a matched pair of GT Passages, and since then a string of bikes for my daughter. so now over 30 years later I walk in after not setting foot in the place for 10 years and the owner takes time out to fix my floor pump I bought there in 1996.
I bet the knowitall kid would just sniff and pronounce that the pump can not be repaired so why not buy this overpriced piece of crap.

I just want to state that the bike shop in Pleasant Valley New York is a good place and it is a shame that we are surprised when we are treated well anymore.
