Trying to get an idea what it's worth. I bought it for my son, however he wasn't interested in this bike. It's way too big for me or I'd keep it as a backup to my DeRosa. I actually like the color combo. It's 531c, 60cm and all original Campy Victory. I apologize for the electrician's tape on the bars but I didn't do it, This bike sits like I picked it up! :twitchy:

The Campy parts are nice but not nearly as desirable as that frame...

Thanks 65'er...I had a Trek 660 for years and sold to friend who wanted to start riding. Now I wish I hadn't gotten rid of it. Shame this bike's too big for me. I like old Trek's.
If you buy your consumables right, new bar tape will only cost you $5. Well worth the investment prior to selling. You want the bike to show that it has been well maintained. Ratty bartape kills the message.

Sold the bike as is for $400.00. I made a few bucks and new owner is very happy. Wish it fit me, I really like the color combination. I had a few other offers for more money but the new owner was the first to contact me and he was local.

That is a good color. I need to paint a bike. I was thinking of something in blue.
But maybe I ought to think about this just a bit more........

Wow, that's impressive. Offers for more than $400!?!?? Your thread did wonders!
Maybe I should list my 'as-is' 560. Its Cyclone components are far superior to the Campy on that 760, but unfortunately they don't say 'Campagnolo' on them, and I have the wrong tubing stickers...0 in place of 3.
Just bought a 1985 Trek 500 in the same exact color. It is a nice color for a vintage bike. The 500 I bought was discounted due to being a Frankenbike and having a stuck stem and seat post. I got the stem out with PB Blaster. The post is still stuck, ammonia is next. Its too nice of a frame to toss.

what size frame you need?

@bluegoatwoods pic doesn't do the color justice. It has a fine metal flake and really pops in the sunlight.
@JYB lol...I started the bike at $395.00 figuring I'd be lowballed. First guy contacts me to buy it and had been looking for a Trek this size for a while. Second guy minutes later is a Microsoft exec out in Washington state says he will go $450.00 or more because he has to have it. I try to live life honorably so I let first guy look at it and tell him I had an offer more than his and several others contacted me about the bike. He likes the bike and I tell him he can have it for the original quote...I wasn't trying to squeeze every dollar out of it. I just wanted someone to have it who would appreciate it and If it fit me I wouldn't be selling. He's happy and I'm happy. He is great guy who plans to do some touchup and ride the heck out it! no plans for SS/FG :)
@wrk101 I agree, especially with the yellow saddle, graphics etc. Really makes the Beaujolais paint pop!
@lotek I'm 6 feet tall but have a long torso and short legs....55-56 cm 31" standover

Wow, that moved quickly.
I was about to offer you a trade situation. I have a 56 cm 1985 Trek Pro Series 560, Reynolds 531, that is in near mint condition. Original in all respects except for seat. Full Shimano 600 w/SIS, etc.
Color is yellow/white fade (one year only).
Best,
J
