My power's out! Yeah, an adventure. I was in Auburn for a few days for a job interview (which I got), and I missed the shut-off notice. The question is...

Do I leave it off? I'm moving in a month anyway.

Do I turn it on? I'll need to clean/vacuum

There's a light on the back porch that's hard-wired to the apartment for night, so I have a screw-in outlet for power only at night.

Definatly turn it on, that's no way to live. I did that once, forgot to pay a bill. I had the money, just forgot. I get home and called the power company to make a quick payment but they wouldn't come out till the next morning at the earliest.
I lit candles to see as it got dark. Went to the living room to watch some tv, BAM! no power!
I went to the room to check my emails and check up on Foo. SUCKA!
Hit the sack early that night and used the cell phone alarm to wake me up the next morning.

Give it a shot, save yourself a few bucks. Do you have a BBQ or campstove you can use outside to keep yourself fed? Not having warm showers is gonna suck.

Are you planning to pay your bill? If not, will it show on your credit record?

I'd pay the bill. If you are closing the account and it's in arrears, it will show up like that on your credit report.

Yeah, I'm gona pay it, just not sure if I can do all of the moving out stuff without turning it on.
