Folding Bikes - Dahon Speed D7-Does it have a coaster brake?

On their website, it says that the bike is equipped with a rear coaster brake. However, in the pictures, I see a standard caliper on the back wheel. What gives?

I was looking into this as my first folding bike, but I don't really like the idea of a coaster brake...the last time I used one was on my kiddie bike almost 15 years ago and I've gotten used to standard brakes. I appreciate your insight!

I think this is a misprint in the specifications. I'm 99.9% certain the U.S. Speed D7 does not have a coaster brake.
Splendid! I was worried because a few other sites also say it has a coaster brake, i.e. "ProMax V linear-spring front brake with rear coaster brake offers twice the stopping power and safety"

I believe the Speed D3 (not a U.S. model) is a 3-speed hub with a coaster brake. That may be the original source of the confusion in the specifications.
To the poster above, I think you are correct. Checking the D3's page at Dahon reveals no brake caliper at the rear wheel.
never seen a coaster brake on a cassette style freehub, which is what's equipped on 2007 and later dahon D7(non-HG)

+1. only the 1 speed dahon boardwalk has a coaster brake. none for any bike with multiple speed.

Me too. My 2008 Speed D7 doesn't have a coaster brake.

To clarify --- The Boardwalk is the only current U.S.A. model Dahon with a coaster brake.*** There are some "multiple-speed" non-U.S.A. model Dahons with internal gear hubs that have coaster brakes (i.e., the Briza D3 and the Speed D3).

To clarify --- The Boardwalk is the only current U.S.A. model Dahon with a coaster brake. There are some "multiple-speed" non-U.S.A. model Dahons with internal gear hubs that have coaster brakes (i.e., the Briza D3 and the Speed D3).
The single speed Dahon Mu Uno also has a coaster brake..
