I'm building a fixie and am looking for interesting ways to make it unique. (Yes I realize taking ideas from the internet does not make it actually 'unique'.) I'm more looking for a combination of interesting features to make it different.

I found this bike on a fixie gallery site and liked the covering of the spokes on the rear wheel. It looks custom made to me, but does anywhere actually sell these? How do you go about attaching custom made ones to the spokes?

Does anybody else have any interesting aspects of their fixed gear bikes they wouldn't mind sharing?

Always knew them as "dork discs". To be unique, I would rock some apehangers with 5 sets of oury grips covering them, in the color of a rainbow. Mount a huffy brake lever on top tube, running to dura-ace front caliper on a non-machined carbon track wheel. Bananna seat in crushed purple velvet...

all of this on a Nagasawa that has been powdercoated lime green with a 29er suspension fork that is murdered out.

With a "What tire is the best for skidding?" thread popping up every 5 minutes, I thought of a cool idea. Basically, there's a button on your handlebar that, when pushed, squirts out a slick of OIL from a contraption attached on the underside of your bottom bracket. So no matter how much you suck at skidding, you can do it, no prob.
