`Wondering what experience you have had with this bike. I am looking to buy used for 275 with bike rack, handle bar extensions. Any thoughts?

It is a Trek navigator 2.0. Im going to test ride it soon. Anybody rode this and want to comment? I am 6' tall and selling my specialized Medium crossroads because i fear it is too small for long trips to be comfortable.
Wondering if the 2.0 trek si worth 250? What should I be looking at when test riding one?
Im going to visit my LBS tomorrow before i buy anything. i want to know what is best for me.

What year is the Trek?
A 2007 sold for ~$300, a 2008 sold for ~$360, and a 2009 sold for ~$430.

Said they rode it two summers. I'm guessing it is a 2007.

not sure if they changed alot since 2004, but i have the Navigator 200 which i've changed a good bit. actually replacing the shock fork soon. and tires. seat is already changed (into a sleeker, lighter gel).
might switch the bars to more straight, but for now, it's doing fine with bar extensions so it is a decent all around utility/commute/trail bike. alot of fun and light (aluminum)

My brother has one... I think it's the 2.0. Anyway, he has a Navigator and loves it. He's a flat road/short trip kind of rider and didn't want lots of gears so he's really happy with the bike as it's comfortable. I noticed that it's a little heavy which isn't good for hills and with only 7 gears, I wonder if that would be enough for a long ride. Anyway, if the 2.0 has more gears, this wouldn't apply, but on the whole, I'd say it would be a great bike if you don't live in a really hilly area or if you're pretty fit.

what's odd is that my frame looks a bit different than the one in the archive photo...now that i've lowered the bars, changed the seat, etc, it looks and feels like a mtb...but now that shocks are coming off and thinner tires, i believe this will be very quick. the 16.5" frame works well for me already and i guess i am getting more fit, becaue this very hilly area (upper providence/media PA) is not too much of a problem. even with groceries on my back and rack!
