Hi,

I have a Delta Michaelangelo bikestand which holds two of my bikes indoors. I don't have this problem so much with the road bike but the singlespeed's handlebars always turn and the wheel hits the wall, I want them to stay straight.

I know I can probably ziptie it or use string but I'd like a nicer solution. I see that Saris makes front wheel straps but they designed it to be used in transport (on a rack).

In various photos, I have seen what look like specialized straps to hold the front wheel to the body of the bike. Does anyone know where I can buy these straps?

Thanks.

You can make one for a few pennies if you have access to a sewing machine or a friend who sews. A piece of elastic waistband with some velcro sewn onto it and you are in business.

FWIW- getting a sewing machine and learning to sew a little can be a valuable skill. i've made all kinds of biking and camping stuff on my sewing machine and it really impresses the ladies when a dude knows how to sew.

just got to the dollar store and grab a quick velcro strap.

just wrap it around a few spokes and the front fork, that is enough to keep the bike from rolling, while standing.:thumb:

That sounds like the best solution, GTA. I recall REI selling some sort of bar to stablize the front wheel, but it sounded like pricey overkill.
