Hi,
Has anyone got one? I'm toying with the idea of purchasing a SteelSet™ for my Bare Knuckle. I don't think the length of the head tube will be a problem (it's 150mm long), but after feeling inside, I do believe the said tube could do with some machining to smooth the region around the top and down tube openings. There might be a correct term for the said procedure, but I don't what that is.
Thanks,

i wouldnt do that. it shouldnt be a problem
one possible problem is the EAI head tube may be internally butted. im not sure about the EAI frames tho.

the term is reaming, it's not necessary but it does promote better bearing life.

To be honest, nothing. I just like the item in question and as the price difference between the standard and steel is really not that much, I was thinking why not go for it. So nothing to do with common sense, I just like the steel version. The awful extra weight of the thing bothers me none.
