I'm going to be up in Jenner for three days. Can you suggest a route for me? Id LOVE to just get on my bike and ride, so if your route doesn't involve driving to a starting line that'd be preferable!

Thanks

How much climbing do you like?

A pretty moderate loop is to take Hwy. 1 down through Bodega, then turn left on Bodega Highway to Freestone. Turn left there (stop at the bakery!) and continue through Occidental to Monte Rio. Just before the bridge make a left on Moscow Rd. and follow it to Duncan Mills and then take Hwy. 116 back to Jenner.

If you want (lots) more hills, you could head east on 116 to Duncan Mills, then head north on Cazadero Hwy. to a right on Kings Ridge, left on Hauser Bridge Rd., becomes Seaview and Ft. Ross, then right on Meyer's Grade (great descent) to Hwy. 1 and continue to Jenner.

I just mapped out a ride through Austin Creek, Cazadero Hwy, Fort Ross Rd, to hwy 1 back to Jenner. There's a couple of steep climbs there but it doesn't look any tougher than my skyline/pinehurst loop. Hmmmm.

I haven't biked there but I have motorcycled. This should be an amazing route but not a lot of stops for water or food:

It's probably pretty hilly, I don't remember much as I had internal combustion last time I was there.

Here's a preview to whet your appetite:

Annapolis road should be like the first picture here: http://www.southbayriders.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32522
