Hey what's up everybody. Just stumbled upon this cool forum. I've been interested in getting a track bike for a few months and I just got the KHS 04 Flite 100. It's pretty sweet. The color is a little more purple than blue, but overall I'm pretty happy with the bike. If anyone is familiar with the Flite 100 I was wonder what you would recommend upgrading on it.

Can you post some pics? I have not seen a 04 in my area yet.

i had a 01 or 02 not sure. it was orange. i liked it but the frame i had was a bit large, over all it was an agressive ride and found skidding on it much easier than on my bike now. The components are good and it makes for a great entry level bike, congrats

I have the orange one with sloping top tube. (2002, I think). 57CM. The hubs are are not great; I plan to upgrade to Phil Wood in the future. Headset seems fine (but also generic). BB is smooth so far. I did not like the stock bars. Stock tires are cheapos. It is a great bike, very tight geometry, decent finish. Have fun.

How much did you pay for yours and how much would one of those go for used? frame and fork? You're talking about the older aero right with the sloping top tube? I'm asking because an aquaitence of mine might be selling his soon and I want to know if i'm getting ripped off.

I have the sloping top tube KHS Aero and love it. I posted a photo in the fixie photo section. I gave $450 for mine with upgraded mavic rims and Suzue hubs. I added a Nitto track stem and bullhorn bars. Cool, fast ride.

I got a deal on ebay for $450. It was basically new, with a couple of minor chips, and it included 105 levers and a front brake.

sloping top tubes look sharp, but can be hell - you'd know that if you actually had a job that required being on the bike all day. Unless this is just for velo use.

this kid is selling just frame fork and bottom bracket for ~$350 which seems a bit high. but I can't find the damned frames anywhere else. It would be for training in the dirty south and then back up here as my daily grind bike I think i'm putting riser bars (putts flame suit on) on it for the city but nitto tracks for the south.

does anyone know what the stock hubs are on the 2001/2002 KHS orange sloped top tube?

i just picked one up just yesterday. actually, my fiance bought it for me as an engagement bike. guess it's official now :) (btw, the ring was already on her finger).

i haven't gotten to ride it around much yet, but it's tight and comfortable, has massive toe overlap w/ front wheel, and it's not really that light. i'm freaking excited...

i have an orange 2k2. i got it for $300 ppd with brake+lever on ebay. it was just a fluke since they normally go for alot more. like someone else said, the tires are cheapos and i hated the bars. but besides that i havent had any trouble.
