Professional Cycling For the Fans - so when are the (contador) doping accusations going to begin?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

i'll preface by saying that i give people the benefit of the doubt... maybe i'm foolish and naive, but i'm not out accusing anyone of anything, let that be the governing body's business.
that said...
do we really think the sport is clean now? or do we think others are doping to keep up and contador is just that much better clean? i can't think of the last person who puts on a performance with such ease that hasn't been at least accused (by the internet peanut gallery) of doping, much less the numbers that have been accused legitimately and the numbers convicted.
so.. do we think he'll get busted? if he doesn't do we think he's clean? if so, what makes him different in the eyes of increasingly skeptical fans?
Lighten up and enjoy the race.

Agreed. Imagine how much fun it would be to see Contadope, Chicken and The Cobra battling it out in the high mountains. Or if we got to see Basso in his prime.

+1000 ed!
I urge all to read the great SI article comparing U.S. reaction to doping and Europeans reaction to the same thing.

Hey, I mean he, the Schlecks and Sastre all pulled away from the supposed "Second Greatest Doper of All Time"(Pharmstrong), so, they must all be juiced to the gills.(sarcasism guys, it's just sarcasism)

they've begun years ago. Even for Contador. Ever heard of Operation Puerto. 2004? Try Google. Then come back and report what you've found.

Exactly, he's just lucky to be spanish. French or Italian and he might not be in this race.

But, can we go down the Operation Puerto and the obvious connection to Johan Bruyneel route?

Before we go that route let me get my tin foil cap adjusted.
