June is often the best month for mileage..This year...564...Far from my greatest monthy mileage..Greatest ever was over 900...
June 564....Total for year...3030...Fair.
Look forward to my vacation..Seeing Peru, Bolivia starting tomorrow..Maachu Picchu...Plains of Nasca, Lake Titticaca, Cuzco, Peru.Balesteras Islands, A close up version of the Galapagos, I am told......Sort of exciting..
Leaving late for the airport......Had to get in my last 32 miles for the month..Could have been at a hotel near LAX, jumping into their pool.......But, already giving up 16 days of cycling...Quite a sacrifice...Been rare that have not packed my bike along with the other luggage. Not this year.. Would be less bumbed if only missing one week cycling....
Don't think the tourist bus in Peru has a bike rack...

Some guy from Pennsylvania and I are battling it out for first place in our age group (61-70) on the current Challenge Series on Activebody.org. Right now I am ahead, but he waits and posts a whole bunch of miles at one time, while I post daily.
As there are only two of us in this age group, I am guaranteed at least a "second."

Who's counting? Seriously, don't let weather dictate your cycling. I can only guess but assume i have around 600 for the month of June. I am much more proud of my January rides in bitter cold temps than any of my June rides, although they have been wonderful.
Measuring mileage is not for me necessarily. I like to measure by the way it makes me feel. ;) Here's to the Winter Cyclists. Riding in the warm weather is like taking a warm shower. Everybody loves that. Those that take the cold showers should garner the respect.

I am happy to report 654 miles but I am most proud of the fact that this was accomplished on a hybrid due to a broken shoulder! I probably won't have any more miles than this next month but I am hoping that I will be logging them a lot quicker on my road bike! :)

Over 600 when all is said and done. About 2450 so far for the year.

914.6 miles for June
I got in 910, I was hoping to break 1000 but I was sick a few days, ahh well.
1066 for me, just under 7000 for the year, about 1500 short of last year this time.

1,748km for June -- only 8km above my lowest month for the year (that was March for some reason). Not sure why it dropped off this month, particularly as I'm currently in just about the best riding temperatures we'll get this year. 11,898 metres of climbing in that lot.

June - 403 miles, YTD - 1,012 miles
First full year cycling. Finally breaking 100 miles a week, 35 miles longest ride to date, lost 20 lbs and just got my best blood pressure reading at my last exam ever 120/80. I've still got weight to lose and another 2,000 miles planned for this year.

1,008 miles for June which is one of my better months. Longer days make it better to ride, but the heat is killer!

Got back from South America after 15 days...Did climb Machu Piichu...So far for July - 131 miles...But without cycling for two weeks...I gained five pounds... A disgusting feeling...Trying to get in some real miles before go back to work on Wednesday..
Seeing a brand new part of the world. It was worth it...
Two weeks , most I have had w/o cycling in years.....At least speaking in terms of voluntary/involuntary choices....
