Electronics, Lighting, & Gadgets - Flight Deck - accidental clearing of ride data

I just installed a flight deck on my Ultegra 10 speed Shimano. Everything works great, except I evidently constantly hit my buttons which results in clearing ride data, especially the trip mileage. The reason I have this unit is the person that did own it had the same problem. Any solutions to this problem?

I don't have this unit and have never used one. However in my research of computers it has been recommended to hollow out a piece of foam or material and put it under the hoods and around the buttons so that it will keep you from accidentally hitting the buttons but still allow pushing them with a firm, intentional push. You can probably find a search and find the material. It might have been double-sided tape hollowed out instead of foam. I can't remember exactly. BTW, some riding buddies of mine had the same problem.

I am happy to get this response. I was afraid I was the only one, along the the first owner of this Flight Deck, that had this problem. My brother sort of made fun of me because of this problem. I will now tell him I am not the only one.
