A couple of internet names:
from wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Experts-Exchange):
Originally, the name and URL of the site was expertsexchange.com but this created confusion and ridicule as many users intrepreted it as Expert-Sex-Change as opposed to Experts-Exchange. Subsequently, the domain was changed to experts-exchange.com.
And Pen Island is still in business: http://www.penisland.net/

Wow...I've known about experts exchange for years, and my mind never made the leap.
Same goes for Space Exploration Technologies, or SpaceX (Spay Sex), until someone else complained about the awkward name.
Frankly, I'm glad I don't normally think in innuendo.

Apparently the Russians and Nigerians aren't worried about racial slurs that etymologically only make sense in Romance languages.
And that's no doubt a long i, as in nye-gaz.
Wow! I just used "etymologically" in a sentence. My New Year's resolution is complete.

It was worse when two airlines merged: Continental and Aer Lingus. The new airline was called Connilingus.

you're trying too hard.
Apparently the Russians and Nigerians aren't worried about racial slurs that etymologically only make sense in Romance languages.
Ah, but they should, considering that their primary market is Europe, an area replete with Romance languages.
And that's no doubt a long i, as in nye-gaz.
But how they intend it to be pronounced and how it will be pronounced are two different things.
