Undoubtedly the point of contention was that the United luggage crew couldn't care less and that United just wasn't going to koff (sic).
I'm sure the cases in the vid are just cases, not what was actually used. IMHO, using Anvil/road cases in the vid would have made a stronger representation of what United represents in this case, that being total disregard for any customers belongings. United has damaged my belongings in the past as well.

Clearly baggage handlers are too rough on luggage. No doubt about it.
Dave Carroll's blog noted that he used hardshell case within a gig bag. Really, that should have been enough to protect his gear. In most, circumstances. But that's why Anvil cases are available.
Dave's a nice guy, heard him on TV. The media however, doesn't tell the whole story as usual and folks get up in arms over the whole thing. Not here. Meant the comments I read all over the place. Public reaction just seem disproportionate because of the way the video was produced and the story was told.
Ah, well. It's a hot button for a lot of people (United).

I did see a blurb on CNN about United breaks guitars, so I concede that your story is valid, but you do have to like my obscure guitar eating video reference. I still lose though, agreed.
