I have had this crank for many years. Iv'e not seen it on the web very much, but I understand it might be rare. Steel 3-pin cotterless with alloy 53-42 chainrings. Just looking for a ballpark. Condition is ridden but mounted only once and pristine!! Thanks.

Wow, no one has any thoughts on this? I was just looking for some insight as I have not been able to look on the internet. Can anyone tell me when the crank is from? I kind of think it was in the early 70's. The bike also had Valentino front and rear ders, but I thought that this might be earlier.. Any input would be helpful. Thanks
Early 70s is right. I have the same set on an all original Olympia from 1972. They are more beautiful than Record cranks, in my opinion. Being steel, they are slimmer and look more delicate. Greta Garbo next to Betty Grable. I think you are right about them being rare. Rare and beautiful don't add up to valuable, unfortunately. I bet they went out of production when Campagnolo figured out how much they cost to make, against the far more popular alloy cranksets whose tooling they could amortize over a larger number of pieces. Just guessing, though.

I had a couple of NOS ones in original boxes that sold for a little north of $150.

Thanks very much aixaix, Rabid Koala(great name by the way). I kind of figured that since the response was minimal that they were not the great unearthing that I imagined. But hey if that is what they will go for, I guess that I will put them on E-bay. I also have the 3-pin alloy version. Nouvo Gran Sport maybe? (see pictures) Any ideas on that one? Thanks again for your help. Take care.
