Pretty much exactly the same, but with the addition of some loose nylon shorts on top of the lycra. I work in an office with a lot of women, and I feel pretty weird about walking around in skintight shorts when I come in...

This time of year, it's:
Shorts-style bathing suit (good ventilation, easy wash, quick dry, and mesh lining helps to control the "boys")
Wicking t-shirt
Crocs
Helmet
Still working out what I'll do once the cold weather comes back. This is my first year commuting, and I definitely plan on riding through the winter. Cold does not get to me too much, especially in my legs, especially when I'm doing something active, like cycling. I wear shorts as everyday casual wear outside as a matter of course until the temps are well below 50 anyway. DC winters tending to be on the milder side oftentimes, maybe tights under longish cargo shorts and some warm socks/shoes. Multiple layers on top w/ wicking t-shirt as the base layer to help keep me dry and keep the cold wind out. Add some cycling gloves, too probably.
Today:
cargo shorts
Champion Double Dry compression boxers
short sleeve button down cotton seersucker shirt
sandals

Apparently you've spent some time in Nederland CO. What's my prize?
When I lived near there (Boulder) and my commute was 2 mi of flat roads, I rode in whatever I was wearing at work that day, but now that my commute is long and hilly enough to work up a sweat, I wear cycling clothes and change at work. In summer it's helmet with mirror, jersey, shorts, gloves, bike shoes. On the coldest days in winter I also have thermal underwear (top and bottom), tights, windbreaker, booties, balaclava, mittens. Somewhere in between the rest of the year.

You win a Frozen Dead Guy postcard (if I can find it!) :D
My bro lives in Berthoud -- we hang at Eldora when I visit him, with a side trip to A Basin if I'm lucky. I usually time my annual trip to coincide with Frozen Dead Guy Days -- if possible, next time, I'd like to hit that and also the skijoring at Loveland. You Coloradoans know how to have fun, you do.

Today:
- Prana kneelength semi-baggy shorts with mid-thigh wicking sport underwear
- wicking t-shirt
- ankle sox
- Adidas mountainbike shoes
- road hazard orange helmet
- Rudy Project yellow lens cycling glasses (I wear these in all conditions - I don't use sunglasses any more)
- Cycling gloves
When the weather is not so hot I typically wear baggy style mountain bike shorts that have sewn-in lycra bike shorts with synthetic chamois. I can't find any of my old "standard" cycling shorts for the hot weather, so I have been wearing mid-thigh and knee-length running shorts these days.

Do you guys still wear cycling- or athletic-specific clothing in the winter? This is my first year commuting, and I was kind of looking forward to just wearing my work clothes on the bike once it cools down. Is that impractical?
Do you guys still wear cycling- or athletic-specific clothing in the winter? This is my first year commuting, and I was kind of looking forward to just wearing my work clothes on the bike once it cools down. Is that impractical? That's what I do. I only go six miles each way. I have a chainguard, but if you don't you can roll or band the pant leg. Normal gloves work fine (like leather gloves or wool rag. Ski gloves if it goes below 0 F). I do have balaclava for when it gets below freezing. I have wool underlayer clothes for when it gets really cold for around here (teens or less; very rare here). I usually wear a fleece jacket (or rain jacket), but I have a normal wool coat for when it is very cold (below teens). I wear a wool cap when it is below 50 or so. If it is below 20 or so (pretty rare), I put on Toastie neoprene toe covers over my normal shoes, or I wear boots if there is snow about. I have one pair of running underwear that blocks wind that I may wear if it is very cold and windy.
So, other than the balaclava (which comes right off before going into work), it is pretty much what I'd wear walking actively about in the cold, or walking to work from a mile away (except for cycling I dress as as if it were about 15 degrees warmer). For most of the winter in DC, I get by with normal work clothes (which are khakis, button-up shirt, brown shoes, etc) with a fleece jacket, a cap, and leather gloves.
In cold-weather cities like Copenhagen and Amsterdam, where commuting by bike is ubiquitous and more common than by car, pretty much all the commuting cyclists wear their normal clothes all year round.

I think it depends on where you live and how you ride. My work clothes wouldn't be well suited for riding in the cold and I get sweaty no matter what the weather is like. I pretty much always change when I get to work unless I decide to shorten my trip by taking the train part of the way.

The clothes I work in (office casual), with some outerwear in the winter, of course. I like to keep things simple. Here in Idaho, it usually cools off at least into the high 60s overnight, even on triple digit days, so I am lucky in that regard. Could have benefitted from some cycling-specific clothes for the afternoon ride home the last few days, though, but I'm too lazy to bother. I'll be glad when temps drop off about 40degrees, so I put the hammer down without breaking too much of a sweat.

I got no usually. One day I might be wearing my bibs and a jersey, another I could be in my work clothes, and on others I could be in everything in between. It depends on the day, my mood, what bike I ride, the weather, what I am doing after work, what I want to do before work, what I might do during work, etc, etc, etc.

What chip said.
This morning I was in my office clothes: dress slacks, buttondown shirt, and tie. It was a comfortable 72F so no need for lycra. This afternoon it'll be 25 degrees hotter and I'll try to get in a 15 or 20 mile detour, so that means bibs and a jersey. Which, by lucky happenstance, I have in my file cabinet. ;)

clothing?
please, for the kids
My commute is a mountain climb so I commute in full riding gear, with a high vis vest, wearing a messanger bag with the stuff I need for the day at work. I keep clothing and shoes at work to change into.
For the ride down the hill going home I prefer to ride in my bibs, a t-shirt and no gloves.....The ride home is a relaxed drop down the hill and a short scoot on a MUP.

cycling shorts and a hideous lime green short sleeve soccer jersey I picked up at the salvation army or a yard sale. The jersey has a kind of tight mesh pattern that breathes extremely well. But, wow does it stink after a ride. When I get home, I wear it right into the shower, soap it up, rinse it off, wring out and hang it up for the next day. I think I might have paid 50 cents or a dollar for it. Great investment.
In the winter, if it's below 40, cotton sweats over cycle shorts, long sleeve poly with fleece(s) over. If it's real cold, I will start off with a nylon windbreaker, but, it comes off when I hit the uphills.

Just my helmet.
Usually a jersey and lycra shorts and the normal bike shoes w/bike socks, but I'm moving into wearing the loose tank top (I like mens small/boys large tank top with the lonnnnng arm holes in them) and a sports bra - jersey's are rather cloying in the humid weather.
Just my helmet.

Athletic shorts, wicking t-shirt, tennis shoes, helmet, backpack. Rain or shine, same thing. I haven't really commuted in the winter yet so I don't know about that.
Soon I will get gloves, and possibly some lycra shorts.
