I've been reading the forums for quite a while and even made a few posts and only now did I notice the section called "Introductions". :o
Soooooo, a bit about me. Too old for MySpace, too young for Medicare as the saying goes but I'm liking those "Over 50" jerseys the guys on that board wear. I don't quite qualify yet, but I'm getting there.
Used to do quite a bit of touring around Britain and western Europe as a younger man, but after emigrating to the USA back in the early 90s, and picking up a wife, dogs, car etc, just got out of the habit. I've been mountain biking for the last 6 years but as I live at 9,000 feet, have been finding getting back into shape much harder than I would like. Still, I'm getting there and each summer it seems to be that little bit easier.
I'm getting interested in trying touring again and as running out and buying a new bike isn't on the cards right now (but oh, some of them look so pretty) I'll probably just adapt my old hardtail MTB and see what happens on some short trips.
Loving this forum already though, and learning lots from it.
Thanks all!

Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
