Hi, I just recently purchased a Giant Cadex CFM-2 from a friend....used, but in great condition. However, it needs a new seat, the one he had on it is as hard as a rock. I'm on a budget and looking for a decent all-purpose seat for hopefully under $30, any suggestions? Has to have decent cushioning, as i am a heavy rider (220 lbs.) Hence, the purchase of the bike :)

Thanks!

you can find a pretty good saddle online at any number of shops for around 20$.Jenson is very good also Pricepoint,Nashbar,Performance or just google bike parts for many more-you could also ask your local bike shop about used ,they end up with saddles returned with very few miles on them. If you do'nt feel weird about used saddles-just keep your nose off it till you get 100 miles or so on it(it will smell like you by then-I hear)

I like WTB saddles. Here's an Ebay vendor selling a WTB Pure V for $17.

I wish! Did you see the volume this guy has? No, my stuff, if I happen to have any is no more than 5 or 10 items at a time.

I found an old Bontrager FS2000 (I think) one time at an LBS for $10.00. It was in the discount parts bin. It also turned out to be one of the most comfortable saddles for mtb'ing I have ever sat on
