Cyclocross - STI shifters and top pull derailleur

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Any combo's that work out there?

I'm building up a recently repainted Bianchi frame that doesn't have a frame boss for screwing in a pulley wheel. I have an old clamp on pulley, but if I can just go with a top pull FD, that would be cleaner.

If it's a TP then it's probably a MTB derailleur. Shimano uses different actuation ratios on their MTB and road front derailleurs. STI is a road shifter so it probably won't work well. Just buy a new ft der, they're cheap. Good luck
