On my track bike, I have a constant tick that happens at the same spot of the pedal rotation on the drive side crank, but only on EVERY OTHER pedal stroke.
any ideas? stiff link in chain?
Check your seat post first. Remove it, grease it and test ride it. If that doesn't fix it check your drivetrain for wear. You should also check your chainwheel bolts and tighten them if needed.

You many find the following links helpful in tracking it down:

It's usually just a matter of patiently removing, cleaning,
re-lubing, and re-torquing fasteners until it quiets down.

Bearings rotate at half the speed of the crank, so it could be BB or pedal bearings as well.

I am viting with Captian Cool on it being the bottom bracket. Is it a cartridge type, external bearing, or does it have the older fixed cup/adjustable cup? I had the same thing and it turned out to be a bad bearing/pitted cup. Of course, there's another option... check around the BB shell and chainstays for hairline cracks.
