Foo - Dumb thing(s) you did today...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

A few of mine, all at work unfortunately:
(1) Kicked the toilet with my sandal-covered foot when attempting to flush
(2) Tripped up the stairs in a big time way
(3) Snacked on Kashi Go Lean Crunch. If you know anything about this product, you'll understand.
(4) Knocked my coffee across my desk while gesturing wildly

Asked a fellow engineer "What's this?" in reference to something on his bookshelf.
It's very small, incredibly complex, and takes longer to explain than I cared to actually listen.
nothing yet. But it is only 10.20am here.

I work from home. That opens up all kinds of possibilities.
-I opened the door to take out my old dog for a walk during lunch and the young one ran out. Spent a few minutes wrangling her.
-I tripped over a set of dumbbells.

I told a school director that I did not want my picture on the school web site. He felt I should be on the site, as everyone else in the school is pictured. Everyone else in the school are actual employees of the school system... Me? A lowly consultant who bills for time. He was not happy.

not eaten today.
I had a follow up doc's appointment today.
Something buzzing landed in my collar. I snatched my shirt off in the middle of the waiting room and freaked out an old lady because of a fly down my back.

Mmmm roasted pumpkin. You could also make a nice soup with some ginger and nutmeg. Or put in muffins with dark chocolate chips...

--yesterday's story - left helmet for <5 minutes at corner store parking lot - gone. Total my fault.
--- then get a phone call from ex-roommate that he had my helmet!!
go pick up my helmet that some wonderful man I used to talk to in my old neighborhood, who went out of his way to pick up my helmet that stoopid me left by my bike as I was talking to him and unlocking my bike, etc - and he walked it up to where I used to live, cause he knew where I was because I talked to him and his wife and kids on the corner street.
He was smart and wonderful and I on the otherhand was rather dumb for forgetting my helmet.
And I saw him tonite on the way to where I used to live and I slid in as he walked to the corner store and he would not accept anything from me as a good favor or anything, he just really wanted me to get my helmet back.
And I thanked him several times and told him that it's just wonderful that good guys do exist.
So hopefully I patched up some dumb things I did yesterday and today.

Today I decided to wear white for some reason. I don't wear white because I can't seem to not spill things on myself. Yep, well I'm not even here (at work) FIVE MINUTES and somehow I splash coffee out of my sippie cup and onto my shirt. My coworker had a Tide pen, so it's helping... but I had to strategically tie my necklace to cover it. WTF.

have you noticed how little kids get pen marks all over themselves? how do they do that without deliberatly drawing on themselves?

Its the way they hold the markers. When you cap them, ink gets on the sides near the tips and then it gets on their fingers and from there its everywere.

I haven't had a shake like this for a long time. I had one in freshman year, and it absolutely ruined my day as I was in an out of the bathroom for pretty much every class.

Impure whey protein isolates?
I have a moderate lactose digestion issues, but never had an issue with IsoPure Zero-Carb.

Stupid me. I knew this when I got it too.
I'm getting better stuff. I really feel better supplementing protein throughout the day. It's simple and I can eat some fruit with it for a snack mid day.

Agreed to do a 2-hour ride with a colleaque early Sunday morning. He's into cycling for years and I am a 50 year old "poseur" who started riding a year ago...
Anyway, did do my daily ride today with full headwind - I rode like a snail.
Damn, and I hate to rise early. ;-)

Rode to work even though it was obvious I've managed to contract the virus that my coworker has (no, not the guy who was in ICU with a lung infection, chick that works in another dept)
Hope to #%$ this turns out to be nothing more than a minor headcold and not a repeat of last summer's nasty virus from hell that ended up giving me bacterial bronchitis.
