If you are referring to a Garmin Forerunner 405, yes. The HR strap that Garmin referrences on there site as the one the 405 uses is the same on the Edge 705 uses. I have successfully used the one from my 705 with the PT Cervo computer.

Interesting, it didn't work for me. I have the 705 and PT head unit.

What am I doing wrong?

If you have already paired the PT with the PT HR strap you will have to re-scan for the Garmin strap.
