Check it out, I got this in my eurosport newsletter...

"Experienced Italian Mario Cipollini outsprinted the chasing pack to win the 168-km second stage of the Tour of the Mediterranean between Bouc-Bel Air and Le Cannet on Thursday.

The Acqua e Sapone rider, 34, pulled ahead of Norwegian Thor Hushovd in a mass sprint finish to clinch the 145th stage victory of his career in steady rain.

Another Italian, Michele Bartoli, retained the overall race lead by just one second over Hushovd, who earned a six-second bonus for his runner-up stage spot behind Cipollini."

Young Swiss Thierry Loder, who broke away on his own after 15 kilometres and built up a lead at one point of three minutes and 15 seconds, and Frenchman Sandy Casar both fell back over the last five kilometres in the wet and cold conditions.
