Just gathering some interests here.

I'm trying something new. I thought I would take up night riding for my insomnia....I've tried the sleepy drugs and other methods ;) and they don't work.

So anyone up in the Fed Way area that wants to join me riding late into the night say, 10:00pm for an hour or so ride? Send a PM.

Don't worry if your really fast, I'll be that tiny light flickering way behind you :D
I've got the rear blinky thing and a nice $100 light up front so I encourage you to equip your bike properly for these conditions.

Biker B, this is my first post. Im in Federal Way, on SW Campus drive. You probably DO NOT want to ride with me, as im 100% new. But I'll be doing my first ride this evening. Where do you ride in Federal Way? :)

I used to live in FedWay a year ago. Lots of places to ride, both day and night. Definitely lots of fun but also lots of rollers and hills. I used to ride to Brown's Point out to Tacoma, or to Redondo, all on 509. One thing's for sure- make sure you have red blinky on the tail light and a good high beam powerful enough for the front. No matter how wide the shoulders were or how lonely the road was, some drivers coming up fast still don't watch where they were driving and I've had some very close calls.

And if you have a mountain or cyclocross bike, the trails on/near BPA and the aquatics center is great for day & night also!

Careful - there have been reports of a pygmy on Federal Way with a blowgun and night-vision goggles.

I would love to join you but I have no light, and too cheap to buy a set. I am in Federal Way also near Edgewood.
