Hi everyone

I asked this in another thread but I think it got missed by everyone

when i hold the ends of both crank arms and wiggle there is a bit of give (maybe 3 mm at end of arms), i presume this is the bottom bracket not being perfect... will this be the same with all bottom brackets or is it just mine being a bit old, should I get a new one? if so any good reccomendations.

thanks!!

You need a bracket for your wiggly bottom?

Is your BB the old style adjustable cup and cones or is the cartridge tye BB? Obviously, with the adjustable type, you can adjust it via the left side lock ring and cup, but you'll need a pin spanner and a lockring tool. If it's the cartridge type, you'll probably need to replace it. Or perhaps your cups are loose and you'll need to tighten it up, again needing the proper BB tool.
