Some quick info about myself. I'm 27 and I've been riding single tracks and doing XC style "Mt. Biking" for the last 3.5 years. I had some guys I worked with who talked me into buying a bike ('06 Fisher Wahoo)and after a couple of trips to the trail, I was hooked. Shortly after that I found out how nice of a cross training activity it was for running (I've been a long distance runner for 15 years). Even before I got on the trails, I wanted to start riding on the roads. Well...after 3 years of waiting for the right time to purchase a road bike I finally picked one up about a week ago ('08 Felt F85). Now I'm trying to balance between getting my runs in during the week while also getting in time on the trails and the roads. I did a lot of research on this site when I was looking at road bikes and figured now was as good a time as any to finally introduce myself. Looking forward learning tons more from everyone out there!

Thanks everyone for welcoming me to the forums!!

@cyclodan - I will definitely check out the Great Lakes regional forums!! I'm from the GR area, so I mainly ride the trails on the west side of the state. Yankee, Cannonsburg, Ionia, Egypt Valley, etc. They're not spectacular, but they're better than sitting on the couch! :)
