Hello, new to this forum. I bought some cxp 33's for a great price on ebay and I'm going to have one of my club techies build them up using my damaged wheel set Ultegra hubs (32 hole). Any suggestions for spoke brands, lengths, lacing. I weigh about 165 and do a fair amount of out of the saddle climbing. Thanks for any ideas.

DT butted 2.0/1.8 are very good spokes, or you could go straight gauge 14s. For spoke lengths you'll have to measure the hub and rim diameters to determine what length is needed. The standard cross pattern is 3, which is probably your best bet.

The club techie, if he builds many wheels will/should have these answers for you. And, of course, you'll get several more here. We have a lot of knowledgeable members who'll share their ideas with you.

Make sure the builder follows the indent pattern made by the old spokes on you hubs. Dont put "innie" spokes though "outy" holes.
This will probably limit you to the same pattern.

3 cross is the best all round pattern. There are lots of on-line spoke calculators, but your wheel builder is better placed to work that out. Avoid any radial spoking, the hub is not built to take that stress. Pick a spoke guage which fits tightly ino the hub holes; butted spokes will built up stronger than plain guage ones.
DT, Sapim, Wheelsmiths are all premium brands.
