Did I miss something? A little over a week ago, he had posted the post mortems on this year's Tour in his website. He was not picked.

When was he in?

An Australian reporter reported that Evans was most likely going to be left out because of some sort of disagreement with Telekom

I think that many assumed he would be in le Tour, but in the end, he was not selected. Why? Dunno.

G'day,

Cadel missed out on the tour so Zabel could have a ride. Why?...German team,German sponsor, German rider....lets not be fooled by any crap about cadel's collar bone. cadel would of proven a better bet to get Jan to the finish than Zabel finishing 10th in every sprinters stage!. Cadle would be riding the tour if his christian name was 'helmut'

I think I heard Mike Tomilaris say on SEN 1116 that Evans was a bit 'crash happy', therefore a lot of riders didn't want him in the peleton.

That was my favorite b/s line also! "Ah, we didn't select Cadel because he's broken his collar bone in the past, and we wouldn't want that to happen again." What kind of logic is that? I mean, If you're going to outright lie, @ least make it somewhat believable!

I say keep in Zabel and leave out Aldag in favor of Cadel. Then again Aldag is german is a solid all around rider.
