Looks like a Dahon frame. No mention of weight. But it is aluminum. Anyone know anything about them? They're on sale for $200, now. A coupon code of AFFWEST lowers it to $179.99, that expires today.

Dahon licenses (and builds) bikes for other companies that are rebranded as their own. This looks similar to the D7 frame, but older. I would suggest posting this on the Dahon forum at

There is such a thing as a 3 speed derailleur system. I've seen several Chinese made bikes set up that way.

Thanks. Always appreciate hearing about good deals out there.
Looks more like a Downtube frame.

Looks like Dahon confirmed that it is not one of theirs. West Marine no longer carries Dahons.

Of course I am biased.....
its not a Dahon ( nor Downtube )
Its a typical scenario, where a huge place ( Worst Marine) gets into the market with a wellknown brand ( Dahon) and than gets lured away ( or checks themselves) to make a few more bucks with some diffferent manufacturer ....
There are a lot of folding bike factories out there in china who are copying real old stuff.... lol
which is like 10 years behind the current bikes. They offer nothinmg much else as low pricing and huge profit margins for the big box sellers. Just look at the picture, you think the guy can ride a bike like this for more than 1/2 mile?
Anyhow........
better look for a used better bike on Ebay or Craigslist and get something tou can enjoy for years to come
