Hey... so im looking for a new tire for my new super tarck velocity wheelset that i have on the way.

Vittoria Randonneur!
Nice thick tread for good wear.
Care to elaborate?
expensive, low TPI, heavy, poor puncture resistance, fast wear.
all the gran compe ss tires have going for them is color.
buy a real tire instead of wasting your time and money.

I've had both rubino pro's and zaffiro's in NYC. If you run a brake and don't skid much, I think they'd be fine. Each one lasted about a month for me. So far, I really like the panaracer t-servs, and I'll probably stay with them after my current pair. There are a million threads about long lasting tires...

^^thanks man i appreciate it
I run the Rubino Pro's. No punctures in 4 months of daily commuting on them. I have a front brake, but do skid a bit as well, and the back tire has noticeably squared off - not really in handling, but visually.

If you want Vittoria, go with the Randonneurs. The Gran Comp SS tires seem to wear quickly.

Maxxis Re-fuse. Not one of the tires you list but 9 months in on the front tire and one flat so far. The only other tires I have ridden that long were Armadillos and they ride like crap.

Rubino's have been solid for 3 months. Skidding, too.

Randos would be first choice. But between the two you mentioned, Rubino Pro's. I have Rando's on one bike, Gators on one and (recently) Rubino Pro's on the other. I was running, 23's, 25's and 28's for a bit of variety. My preference is Rubino Pro's in the 25.

Scratch that. Tuesday morning. 2 miles in to a 20 mile ride. POP - PSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHH! Something went through the tire, into the tube. Randomly left my wrench somewhere other than my saddlebag. Grrrrrr.
At least it was only 2 miles and not 10.

I rode zaffiros and they were just alright.
I have been riding Randos for a while and they are super tough, they may be heavy but I am more interested in flat resistance and long wear.
I just ordered a new rear tire, a Panaracer RiBMo...seems tough as well and light.
