Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
who gonna win this one? guess? can't wait 'till tomorrow.
One of these three will win:
Petacchi
Hushovd
Boonen
I think I'll go with Hushovd.

If Peta doesn't win, it'll be my man Hondo.
The hell with your man Hondo.
Hushovd > Hondo!

Is Fassa really as tired as they looked today?
Gotta wonder if they overdid themselves at the Giro.
No. I think it was a combination of the poor weather conditions, defending the maillot jaune, and also having to worry about chasing down Wauters and Piil. Tomorrow should be different, but if it isn't, Hushovd takes the day.

Today I'll get it right, and turn off the forum before the stage has finished.
So, what time (roughly) does the stage finish?
Give me any time and I'll check the Timezone map or The World Clock site

DO any of you guys have msn, yahoo or any other messenger so we could discuss the stages while they are underway.. specially the final parts

It will finish after 10:45 Eastern (US) time
Go on the official site, or cyclingnews, or whatever... check the live update, see how many kilos are left, check the profile, and judge how much more time is left.
Check http://www.cyclingnews.com/road/2004/tour04/?id=livetimes
I'll go with McEwen for tomorrow.

Great call guys!
Good man Mark Scanlon, flying the Irish flag in the breakaway for 160km today :)
I'll go with McEwen for tomorrow.
Good call. :) And Hushovd takes yellow. It's been fun watching him develop.
Dear Baby Jesus:
Please let Arvesen be ok. Please let Arvesen be ok. Please let Arvesen be ok.
Thank you for your time.
Yours truly,
Twenty-seven xo
Damn, I was close. At least my boy took yellow. Good call, brent.
Laggard - where oh where was Hondo? Oh that's right... 4th place. :D

So the God of thunder is in yellow. Wonder if his team will be able to defend or if he will have to break out Mjolnir to fight off the pack ;)

One of the rider diaries I read mentioned that fasso has to realize this isn't the giro, they can't ride at the front for 100 km, then try to turn it up at the finish. That just isn't going to work. Maybe now that they don't have yellow that will change things. McEwen seems to be in much better form than during the giro. Got a little excited in seeing cipo appear on the screen at the finish. He says after the TTT he'll be in the rythym, might he get a stage?
Petacchi didn't really have a train last year, did he? Maybe he needs to go back to "the old way".

My man Hondo will get his stage win.
I'm actually more of a Thor and Menchov fan. And don't forget my man Moreau!
Oh please, you're just riding my coattails. I promote Hushovd and now that he's in yellow, you're "more of a Thor fan". Nice try.
But seriously, this has been exciting Tour so far. Tomorrow is going to be amazing.

First time reading that thread, but I'd say you have psychic abilities and stole the ideas that I would post in the future.
Congratulations. :D

Wow, the CSC rider (which one?) really smacked his head hard in the sprint/crash. Hit a couple of times at least. Where's that helmet excuse thread?

McEwan.......he may have an abrasive personality, but he had all the moves today. He just pulled out and said 'Thank you boys'...zoom.

Agreed Cipo looses his lead out man and was still on McEwens wheel. I'd like to see him get a stage this year.
