Thinking of doing a 3-4 day trip from Burlington to Quebec City in October.

How is the route up the Saint Lawrence? I assume it's pretty flat? How is it in terms of scenery?

I'm coming from NYC and have already biked up the VT and NY (rt 22) sides to Montreal. Im also considering a VT - NH ride but I'm worried it will just be up and down the whole time.

Any suggestions? Thanx.

Flat and pretty. Farmland, small villages and views on the St-Lawrence. Highway 138 on the north shore is Route Verte #5 and is well traveled by cyclists. There are a few spots where the bike route takes local roads, sometimes for the better, sometimes for no reason other than losing your way.
