Ow. Epic toe stub. I've done that. Hurts-a-plenty.

It looks like you're gonna lose that nail. (if there is blood underneath it) Take a paperclip and heat it up until it is white hot and touch the middle of the nail (do not push hard) to drain the blood underneath.

Now that sucks!

End of toe is slightly purple, doesn't show up well with the flash. Blood is coming from the nailbed, which is unbelievably disgusting. For the lulz I took the photos on the coffee table that did this to me.

Amputation may be the only way to go.

Had there been a microphone hooked up to my computer this is what you would have heard - cause the neighbors did - even through their epic horseshoe tournement ...

Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhgggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh <breathe> ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I haven't torn a toenail in years <fek - runs and finds some wood to knock on!>

Ouch!
I believe I am going to loose both of my big toe nails eventually. My sidis are slightly too small and in my riding I have managed to hurt both.

Luddite

This is the third toenail I've killed in two years, first two were due to running. :(

I can feel it swelling when I don't keep my foot propped up, this sucks lol.

Um, I don't know what to say...so I won't say anything. By the way, there is a couch on fire somewhere in the world. Just Say'in.

I've lost my big toenails so many times that I only have a paper thin nail at any given time. It's gotten to the point where I am like, "Oh, I lost my toenail.... Time to throw away another pair of socks."

Amputation may be the only way to go.

Cut it off at the knee just to be sure.

Fail. Gross is a picture of your doctor performing your cesarean section or the midway pictures of your breast implant replacement. A toe with a little blood on it doesn't cut it.

But Luddite has nice looking feet... except for that toe.

:)

The last time I smashed up my thumb I had to use my dremel and a very fine drill to pierce a hole in my nail to relieve the pressure from the bleeding... as soon as I did this the pain was greatly relieved and the blood spurted at least a foot and a half when I finally got through the nail.

That was gruesome and I had just grown the damn thing back after having it torn off some months earlier... it hurts just thinking about it.

It must be sympathy pains.

The last time I lost a toenail (the big one) I tore it clean off... and yes... there was much screaming.

 I did something like that while re-doing my roof, I was hammering in the roofing nails and kept hitting the same finger over and over, at first I would scream but then it got numb and I didn't feel the whack of the hammer anymore! :twitchy: hurt like a SOB the next day though! nail stayed put and the pain was gone about a week later. :thumb: your right about her toes, they are pretty little guys!.....'cept for the polish, come on, use some polish remover on the remaining polish, unlike your toe nail the polish isn't going to regrow! ;)

I am very lazy about doing anything with my feet besides washin' em. I never wear flip flops or fancy shoes. Nobody much sees my feet so I guess I dont give a damn lol. My fingernails are much prettier looking due to good genes, not because I futz with them.

The pinkie toe on that foot might look a bit odd, I smashed it as a teen on the edge of a wall, while running. I broke it really bad, laid on the kitchen floor unable to scream, swear or even cry, I just wanted to die. It has a weird lump on it, like it was broken real bad and healed wrong. I like to freak people out with it. Muahaha. I have broken a big toe, smashed it on a cement gutter drain thing while running fast on grass barefoot (crunch) broke the same big toe by my foot getting caught in the forks/spokes of my ten speed while going DOWNHILL (crunch) I've twisted my ankles multiple times, too. Someone just needs to give me steeltoed boots.

Sixty, that is so gross and yet so cool. You must be one tough hombre to do that to yourself. People been telling me to soak my toe in hydrogen peroxide etc and I'm like HELL no.

no such thing as pretty feet.

Luddite
07-27-09, 08:02 AM
When I was young, before I started smashing my toes and getting scars etc on my feet, people used to comment I should be a foot model (what a weird thing to tell someone) I have long thin feet. I have a scar on the other foot on the toe I whacked and tore part of the nail off/ripped skin off. That was the one that required a nerve block and debridement in the ER. Nasty.

I'm not into being tortured in the ER again, that's why I aint taking this toe in. I hate to think what they would do, nerve block and remove the toenail? Some other gory thing? When I was shedding my other nail last year due to running, it was actually sticking up at the beach in a rather freaky but cool way, I didn't know what to do, so I called the nurse hotline, they said to keep it clean and keep the departing nail on as long as possible, so I taped that thing down, new nail grew in, everything was fine. I figure I'll do the same with this one.

My reference was even more obscure than Pgoats.

Here is the LBD thread

I will try to find the thread that Pgoat was referencing. It had to do with stickers on apples, and if you eat them, you will die.

You weren't complaining at the time, as I recall!

Of course the ball gag may have something to do with that.

Lost the nail on my bike toe trying to help a guy in a motorized wheel chair that was stuck in a section of sidewalk without pavement. I was trying to brace myself to push him forward and he suddenly backed up over my toe with the underseat battery compartment. Must have had those big golf cart batteries in it.

Did it have to do with something about guy's "heads" typically being made of "wood"?

Oh....nevermind. :innocent:

Sixty, that is so gross and yet so cool. You must be one tough hombre to do that to yourself. People been telling me to soak my toe in hydrogen peroxide etc and I'm like HELL no.

That was easy...

I have relocated my own displaced joints when other option was available... now that hurts.

Funny though... small stuff like paper cuts make me cry like a little girl.
