I've not ridden the World Cup, but I have a SID on my Klein Attitude. I'm only about 140-145lbs, and compared to the Fox ForX on my other 2 mtb bikes, the SID feels like a noodle. The new SIDs are supposed to be better now, but I still hear that they are not up to par with the new stuff from Fox and others. On the plus side, it is a VERY light fork.

I would get something beefier. What are you going to be using the bike for? XC, jumps etc.
I personally like the marzocchi line of forks the best, but im running a manitou black platinum on my mtb since I got a great deal on it.

the SID is the wrong choice b/c of your weight. Look at the Marazoochi Marathon, Fox Float, or maby the skared
Look into Fox Forks / Forx
They have decent weights and EXCELLENT tracking and stiffness. Rockshox may become better once its stable platform forks are released, but as of now they suck, stay away from them.

No dice, that's a race fork. Look more towards a normal SID or something out of the current Duke line. The 2005's are coming out soon so a closeout deal is sure to be in the works at most places

im fr the philippines and i weigh 230 lbs. nd is currently riding a hard tail wd marzocchi drop off triple dual crown fork. my riding style is urban assault, downhill racing. i have not yet encountered any problem with it. its suspension travel can be adjusted fr 5.9"- 7.5" so you hav no much problem if your riding style is ther same as mine or you ride aggresive xc or trail.

yeah, i def plan on riding agressive, but im also interested in doing long rides. my friends has got me interested in adventure races. im trying to build a super light bike, and that is originally what turned me onto the SID world cup with the carbon crown, but i do need something to hold up many landings with 200 pounds on it. im 21 now, when i was about 15, i cracked the frame on my GT, i weigh more now, and im more daring now. that frame was steel, now im hoping my new XTC HT frame will hold up
I gotta be completely honest here, but if you are 200lbs a superlight bike is just stupid. You can easily get away with something "midweight" I'm sure since you aren't like 250+, but a SID flexes under my 150lbs...
If you weigh more now and are more daring now, why would you even think of a superlight bike.... it will NEVER hold up. I would look at Marzocchi's and Fox's offerings--they tend to be much stiffer and more durable than the Rockshox. If weight is a big concern most of the Fox XC and some of their longer travel shocks weigh under 4.5lbs. My F80x is 3.6 with the steerer cut. Really, you are looking at adding 1-1.5lbs and gaining a ton of durability. I would kinda steer clear of air shocks in general and try to get a coil or something with a coil assist.

I would like to keep under 20 lbs. i just want something light, ive always ridden heavier bikes. i weigh 199 right now, i could probably stand to lose 15 lbs or so. i am training to run a marathon, so i prob will lose 15-20 lbs over the next few months. i am also thinking of going with all XTR components, which i have also heard is not the best idea for someone heavy. but i think at this point i will steer away from the sid fork
