I'm using the rear triangle off a rear suspension MTB for my hombuilt xtra, but after using it for some time it the steel home depot bolt I was using became bent out of shape:

I've seen some homebuilts on here use QR axle and skewers, but there arn't many close ups, so I'd appreciate any input you could offer on what kinf of axle you used for your build and how you attached it. thanks.
