Coming home from work and doing about 20 MPH and the handle bars totally roll forward on me without warning. I get control, pull over, take out my tool kit and try to tighten it down, no luck. It tightens just enough to keep from rolling all the way put I have to ride pulling back on it, and I'm 9 miles from home.

So I pull over a couple more times and try to see if I missed something, nope. So I decide my LBS is only a mile from home, I'll just go there.

I get there and one of the guys tries to tighten it and still no luck. He says the stem is shot. So he goes looking for a new one. Finds it and I just ask, the bike was a year old last week-end any warranty sill on it.

He says, let's try the new one first. Puts it on and I ask him what I owe him, he says don't worry about it.

So to Handlebar Bikes on Engelwood a big ol' THANKS!! And to the gods who kept me from doing a header over the front of the bike in traffic a bigger thanks!

Sounds like a good shop. I'm always pleased to hear about good experiences with bike shops.
Also good job on keeping control of the bike!
