how does $700 CAN before taxes (805 final) sound for a Norco CRD-three sound? (http://www.norco.com/bikes/2004bikes/crdthree.htm).
Also, how does it sound for someone who doesn't compete, and must share his cycling time with mountain biking?
Also, how does it sound for someone who currently rides an old 1980s pugeot that's in semi decent condition?
Thanks,

as most of the guys here will say, stay away from sora components because
1) 8 speed only
2) the STI shifter is not well-designed
3) except for Sora components, everything in the shimano line is interchangeable (with the exception of a few Dura-ace component)
I own a OCR3 and it has sora components, i sometimes find myself annoyed because I have to reach over to the top of the shifter to shift when I am in the drops

that's what I realized, but that's the cheapest they come. Pretty much it's a decision of whether paying 800 is worth the upgrade from my old bike
