New member here from West Michigan. Just bought my first road bike. Waiting for it to arrive. Hope I got a great deal on it. A 2007 Jamis Venture Race with 20 miles on it for $600. I was recently liberated from Employment (Laid off then terminated) now I am back in college for Criminal Justice and trying to get in better shape. Supplementing jogging with biking. I have a around town bike that I have taken on 30 mile rides but it is more for recreation than anything. I look forward to hearing from the seasoned veterans of biking. I could use the knowledge.
