I was riding the trainer last night and after 30 minutes or so my inner thigh muscles started getting sore. I think it's my adductor (according to Google).

Is this indicative of a bike fit issue? Or conditioning? I had similar pain last week towards the end of a 25 mile ride.

I was off the bike until late June of this year due to medical issues so I've only been on the bike for about a month now...

thanks,

phil

Could well be a saddle/fit issue.

I have to disagree with the move seat forward idea tho, as a very likely cause, is that it is contacting the saddle where it flares out, and that possibly the seat is too wide.

There is very little in cycling that should have any impact on them, but constant rubbing of your inner thighs could well cause them to be sore. Might want to try dropping the nose of your seat, or slide it back a tad. Moving it forward seems like it would just exacerbate any problem with contact.

Agree it is likely a saddle issue, but could be that it's too high, causing your pelvis to rock back and forth. Groin pulls have to be treated early with rest and rehab. Have a local bike shop check to see if your seat height is OK.
